Often times parents tell their children if they behave or do something they will reward them. Many liken this to salvation as if it’s something one must earn. Nevertheless, Paul says in Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

In 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 Paul speaks of a thorn in the flesh. There are two groups who use the thorn to prove either God doesn’t heal or doesn’t always heal. In verses 9and 10 of the same chapter, Paul speaks of infirmities. Because of that many believe that Paul must have been sick.

In John 10:10 it says that the thief comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. God is not the thief, so why do we blame Him for the bad in our lives?

Let us examine our hearts, that we may know whether we have been really born again or not. If we have, then we may be glad, and if we have not yet obtained the new birth, let us quickly ask the Holy Spirit to dwell in our hearts and cause us to be born again.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.” 1 John 5:4. Our overcoming of the world is not by making use of battleships, large guns, or great strength, but by using good to overcome the evil of the world.

Truly faithful were his parents in preserving the life of their child for three months, giving an example to future generations to have faith in God even in captivity

God uses many ways to cause a man to be born again, but that which he is always sure to use, is the true gospel, not a false gospel.

There is need of knowledge that is the fruit of experience. We should not allow a day to pass without gaining an increase of knowledge. He who places himself where God can enlighten him, advances. Prayer is a heaven-ordained means of success.

The talent of speech was given to be used for the benefit of all. Pleasant, cheery words cost no more than unpleasant, moody words. Sharp words wound and bruise the soul. Let the determination of each member of the family be, I will be a Christian!
