God's Good Covenant

For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalms 84:11

Most Christians are familiar with this verse and a great number of them have memorized this promise. Yet, when it comes to sickness, poverty, oppressions, and the likes, they soon attribute these conditions to God’s will because “ Whom the Lord loveth he chasten.” (Hebrews 12:6)

Although the scripture does say “God chastens those whom he loves”, under the old covenant these conditions above were part of God’s chastening, but under the new covenant God chastises us through His word. (2 Timothy 3:16).

A great number of scripture prove this point. In 1 Peter 2:24 “By his stripes we were healed.” Matthew 8:17 “He (Christ) bore our infirmities and maladies.” Acts 10:38 says, “ He (Christ) went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.”

A child of God under the new covenant, may enjoy every good thing and it is God’s pleasure to satisfy you with every blessing (Ephesians 1:3).

God’s good covenant is for you. Receive His blessings today.
